Marine Measurement Forum 60

The Marine Measurement Forum (MMF)  is a series of one-day, non-profit making events that provides opportunities for the informal exchange of ideas, knowledge, techniques and developments across an extensive range of marine scientific measurement activities.  Attendees typically include scientists, surveyors, engineers and business people from a variety of organisations including research centres, academia, manufacturers, survey companies, consultants, monitoring authorities, dredging companies, port authorities, oil companies, societies, etc. Each MMF is normally hosted within southern England with occasional excursions to other parts of the UK.


 



The days presentations, all relevant to the audience and the Forums objective, will be a collection of 15 – 20 minute focused papers grouped into four main subcategories


  • Measurement capacity on Autonomous platforms.

Focus on where autonomous technology is developing, what advances are leading to increased utilisation in ocean applications across oil and gas, renewable energy, academia, research and defence sectors.

  • Evidence of Efficiency Gains.

This section will explore evidence of efficiency gains made in the supply chain under existing and emerging challenges in the lower for longer commercial sector.

  • Instruments and Sensors.

Examining some of the evolving trends in various types of sensors, systems and modules and applications.

  • Major Measurement Projects.

A emphasis on major measurement projects around the world.


MMF 60 will begin with registration at 0900 at the Land Rover BAR Head Quarters. 

Welcome coffees and teas will be on offer up on the BAR Flight deck, where the focussed schedule starts around 0930 with a great mixture of presentations, networking and facility tours throughout the day.
